Job Description
Data Centre Engineer position available at CERN. The successful candidate will manage data centre infrastructure, including servers, racks, and networking, and collaborate with the IT Department on general CERN IT infrastructure. The position involves working on a 24/7 availability of core control system services critical to the operation of CERN’s particle accelerators. Requirements
- Management of data centre infrastructure
- System administration tasks for Linux computers connected to the accelerator control system
- Investigation, diagnosis, and resolution of operational problems in collaboration with end-users
- Planning and coordination of annual installation work and replacement of obsolete equipment
- Close collaboration with engineers from the IT Department
