Manager, Tax Practice

Avantax, Inc. is seeking a Tax Manager to join their dynamic tax team. This role involves preparing and assisting with tax filings for various clients, collaborating with other teams, and developing tax planning strategies. The hybrid position is located in Denton, Texas.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or business-related field
• Active CPA license (preferred) or Enrolled Agent (preferred)
• 7+ years of experience preparing federal individual and business tax returns
• Experience preparing complex tax returns (individual, trust, partnerships and corporations)
• Demonstrated aptitude for strategic planning and execution
• Broad knowledge of state taxes
• Ability to work and deliver quality products under tight tax deadlines
