AI Research Scientist

Chai Discovery is seeking a highly experienced AI Research Scientist to develop next-generation AI x biology foundation models and apply them to real-world drug discovery challenges.

Requirements

• Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on deep learning model development, with expertise in PyTorch, JAX or Tensorflow.
• Strong foundation in machine learning, deep learning, and AI algorithms.
• Demonstrated ability to independently lead research projects, for example by publishing research at top conferences or serving as a staff+ engineer in top industry functions.
• Previous experience applying AI to biomolecular data is a plus.
• Experience managing technical teams or leading complex technical projects is a plus.
