The CU Special Recreation Summer Camp Assistant Director will support daily camp operations, mentor staff, and help create safe, engaging, and joyful recreational experiences for participants of all abilities.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to plan and lead recreational activities for youth and young adults ages 5 - 22 years.
- Interest in working with people who have disabilities.
- Previous youth program leadership experience preferred.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Park District staff, participants, parents/guardians, and the public.
- Enthusiasm for working with children and a passion for creating joyful experiences.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Resourcefulness and adaptability to handle unexpected situations and changing needs.
- Commitment to participant safety and well-being, with a strong understanding of child development and best practices.
