Community Health Specialist III (Recovery Supports) – Bloomington, IL

Chestnut Health Systems is seeking a Community Health Specialist III (Recovery Supports) to join our team in Bloomington, Illinois. This position plays a key role in developing, coordinating, and evaluating community-based recovery support programs, events, and initiatives that promote wellness and resilience.

Requirements

• Develop, coordinate, implement, and evaluate programs, including recovery support events, community trainings, and other evidence-based initiatives.
• Lead community groups in developing evidence-based programs by facilitating meetings, supporting recruitment, and maintaining communication with members.
• Assist in the development of grant budgets and manage budget reporting and updates.
• Conduct outreach services with community stakeholders and provide supporting data to strengthen partnerships.
• Develop, conduct, and analyze needs assessments and program evaluations.
• Design, implement, and evaluate media campaigns and educational materials based on research and grant requirements.
• Identify funding opportunities and coordinate, develop, and write grant and contract applications.
• Prepare and submit program and grant reports accurately and on schedule.
• Mentor and train staff and interns, taking a leadership role in development and support.
• Participate in and take a leadership role in local, state, and national advocacy groups or collaborations.
• Fulfill agency and funder responsibilities, including staff development, research participation, and committee involvement.
• Promote recovery-oriented and trauma-informed care principles such as hope, respect, empowerment, health/wellness, and connectedness in all interactions.
• Uphold Chestnut’s culture of customer service excellence and maintain confidentiality of all client and organizational information.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
