Requirements
- Owns the event and catering sales strategy for their venue
- Effectively communicates the strategy and plan to the sales team and Operations Leadership
- Manages the strategic plan to engage with new and existing clients to grow sales
- Constantly performs market research to inform strategy and stay on top of trends
- Actively seeks to connect with the community and local decision makers in their market
- Creates a sales plan that is backed up with a marketing plan
- Ensures the team fully understands the sales and marketing plan
- Motivates and encourages the team to go after new business opportunities
- Stays creative in selling techniques as needed to benefit the venue
- Displays exemplary leadership and motivation skills for their team
- Communicates the sales goals to the team and ensure expectations are followed in a timely and correct manner
- Responsible for the individual growth and development of each team member
- Provide ongoing training and feedback to team members
- Work to increase efficiency and conversions rates across the team
- Assist with recruiting and onboarding new team members
- Ensure event spaces and packages are clearly defined and understood by the Sales Team and Operations
- Ensure the team maximizes spaces when booking days and times for events
- Hold the team accountable to accurate BEO details and communication to guests and the Operations team
- Ensure all details are accounted for and provide an excellent guest experience
- Ability to stay organized and work effectively by showing good time management
- Ability to work in a high-volume venue
- Ability to communicate to the team in a timely, professional and motivated manner
- Ability to communicate to guest in a timely, empathetic and motivating manner to drive relationships
- Ability to address concerns with the team resulting is mutual understanding and professionalism
- Have positive engagements with guests at all times to develop loyalty
- Exhibit the ability for yourself and your team to work with VIP guest
- Ensure the Sales Team and Operations have positive engagements with all guests
- Manage the team to have a guest centered focus
- Exhibit the ability to solve guest problems and coach the Sales Team to have positive engagements and problem solve in all guest interactions
- Exhibit a team player attitude and expect the same from the Sales Team and Operations
- Be a leader at your venue and show a willingness to assist as necessary
