Child Life Specialist ensures comprehensive child life services are provided to minimize the negative impact of trauma, hospitalization, and illness, addressing emotional, cognitive, and developmental needs of patients and families.
Requirements
- Child Life internship/fellowship under the supervision of a Certified Child Life Specialist (CCLS)
- Certified Child Life Specialist (CCLS) within 1 year of employment
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or Heartsaver certification from the American Heart Association within 30 days of employment
