The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner provides comprehensive mental health assessment and treatment services to ambulatory patients in collaboration with health center staff Psychiatrists.
Requirements
- A non-physician practitioner, who has formal education or specialized training as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
- Must be licensed in Alabama as a PMHNP
- 2 years’ experience working with adult and/or pediatric populations preferred
- Ability to consult and work collaboratively with physicians and other health care providers
- Ability to obtain health history and perform a physical exam to determine and execute a diagnosis and treatment plan
- Graduate of an accredited program
- Current CPR certification
- Must be a United States Citizen or legally authorized to working in the United States
