Job Description
Ciena is seeking a Technical Trainer to deliver instructional programs to customers, partners, and employees. The role combines technical expertise with a passion for learning and teaching, helping drive adoption and usage of Ciena solutions.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as a technical trainer
- Strong technical background with hands-on experience deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting packet optical networks
- Expertise in instructional delivery and adult learning methodologies
- Excellent presentation and communication skills with a passion for learning and adopting new technologies
- Knowledge of Optical Transport Network (OTN), SONET/SDH, PON/FTTH, and photonic layer technologies
- IP routing knowledge, including OSPF, BGP, ISIS, MPLS-based IP VPNs, and MEF-based Carrier Ethernet Services
- Hands-on experience with packet networking technologies such as IP/MPLS, MPLS-TE, MPLS-TP, PBB, G.8032 QinQ, 1588V2, Synch E services, and TDM Pseudowires
