Job Description
Circonomit is seeking a Data Platform Engineer to join their team in Cologne, Germany. The role involves architecting and building the high-performance backbone of their data platform, designing ETL pipelines, and integrating graph-based reasoning capabilities. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience building data platforms, data infrastructure, or backend systems with a focus on data-intensive operations. Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building data platforms, data infrastructure, or backend systems with focus on data-intensive operations
- GitHub or portfolio showcasing data engineering capabilities, demonstrating work on distributed systems, orchestration frameworks, or complex data pipelines
- Deep expertise in Python for production data systems and proficiency in TypeScript for building data APIs and integration layers
- Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Cloudflare, or similar)
- Familiarity with graph databases, semantic modeling, or knowledge graphs (Neo4j, JanusGraph, RDF/OWL, or similar)
- Experience with data operating systems and Graph APIs, along with a strong adherence to Git-based workflows is a significant plus
- English and German proficiency at C1 level or higher
- Already living in or willing to relocate to Cologne, Germany
