Head of Automation and Carpentry - Blue Man Group Orlando

The Head of Automation and Carpentry is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Automation & Carpentry Departments, including overseeing the crew show running positions and managing the physical/technical elements of the automation and rigging systems.

Requirements

• Manage the Automation & Carpentry Departments for BMG Orlando
• Create the departments' show schedule; ensure coverage and maintenance for all shows by coordinating show and work schedules
• Maintain knowledge and training to operate, repair, and/or identify problems with all automation and rigging elements
• Supervise the ordering and organization of all shop supplies/inventories
• Collaborate with the Production Manager to create and maintain the department budget
• Oversee department payroll
• Organize and lead Automation & Carpentry Department meetings
• Ensure that show operations are performed in a safe, professional, timely and efficient manner
