Airport Facilities Maintenance Grounds Mechanic III- Landside

Inspects and maintains airport grounds, roadways, fence lines, airfield grounds and hardscapes such as taxiways and runways. Performs grounds maintenance, mowing, edging, pressure washing, spraying, FOD removal, commercial grade equipment usage, and snow and ice removal.

Requirements

• Follow assigned instructions and task of Supervisor and or Lead Mechanic.
• Attend all assigned and or required training.
• Work daily with and in CMMS system.
• Conduct daily inspections of vehicles and ground equipment.
• Maintain airport grounds using both non-motorized and motorized equipment such as weed eaters, chain saws, blowers, mowers, sprayers etc.
• Maintain airfield and roadways using sweepers, blowers, snow and ice equipment, dump trucks, etc.
• Maintain airport / airfield storm drains with use of vector truck and jetter
• Use commercial grade vehicles to assist with airfield and roadway / pavement repairs and snow and ice removal.
• Make repairs to SIDA and perimeter fence.
• Make repairs to pavement and concrete on airport properties including airfield.
• Maintain roadway and ramp area markings
