Job Description
The City of Gainesville is seeking a Substation Relay Engineer and Utility Designer III to perform independent, professional, and technical engineering work for an electric utility with limited supervision. The successful candidate will support a wide variety of engineering projects, including hands-on solutions, design, troubleshooting, and leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field, from an ABET accredited educational institution
- 4 years of experience as an engineer with emphasis on protection and controls associated with power substations
- Valid Florida Class E Driver's License required
- Professional Engineer license preferred
