Job Description
The Water Distribution Branch manages the operation and maintenance of City of Ottawa’s water distribution system. As a Water Distribution Operator, you are responsible for performing and assisting with a variety of tasks related to the water distribution system using specialized tools and equipment.
Requirements
- Completion of Grade 12
- Minimum of 13 months of experience in a construction or utility operations and maintenance environment
- Must obtain and maintain Ontario MOE Operator-in-Training Drinking Water Distribution Operator Certificate
- Must obtain and maintain Ontario MOE Class 1 Drinking Water Distribution Operator Certificate
- Must obtain Ontario unrestricted AZ or DZ class driver’s licence (or provincial equivalent)
- Must complete all required on-the-job training/certifications
