The City of Portales is seeking a Laborer for the Street Department. This is an outdoor position involving daily equipment operation, maintenance, and clean-up. The company emphasizes a positive work environment with minimal supervision and the opportunity for growth.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Valid New Mexico driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
• Must possess and maintain an aptitude for safe operation of assigned automotive equipment
• Must follow instructions, procedures, and City safety rules and regulations
• Ability to lift 50 pounds multiple times
• Must be able to work in all types of weather
• Must pass a background investigation and drug screen
• Maintain grounds by mowing, hoeing, cleaning, leveling, or other duties
