Job Description
The City of Portales is seeking an Animal Control Officer to maintain Animal Control in accordance with City ordinances and departmental rules and regulations. The employee will be responsible for enforcing City Codes, responding to reported code violations, and performing humane euthanasia of animals.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Attendance and successful completion of Animal Control Officer Certification Training
- Attendance and successful completion of a State Certified Euthanasia Training Course
- Current, valid New Mexico Driver’s License
- Must be at least 18 years of age
