Regulatory & Compliance Lead (Diretor(a) de Regulatórios e Compliance) – São Paulo (Hybrid)

We're looking for a Regulatory & Compliance Lead to act as Clara’s statutory compliance officer (diretor(a) estatutário(a)) in Brazil, ensuring alignment with Bacen, COAF, and local AML/KYC regulations. The role demands strong judgment, autonomy, and deep familiarity with regulatory frameworks in the financial sector.

Requirements

• Proven experience in regulatory compliance, with a focus on AML, KYC, and financial governance
• Eligibility and readiness to serve as diretor(a) estatutário(a) before Bacen
• Strong knowledge of Bacen systems and frameworks (including Siscom)
• Familiarity with regulatory reporting and internal governance standards
• Demonstrated ability to assess high-risk clients and approve onboarding decisions from a compliance lens
• Experience coordinating audits and formalizing institutional risks
• Working proficiency in Portuguese and English
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
