CPA IS A MUST!! The Accounting Supervisor is responsible for preparing and reviewing financial data used for the monthly close process and entered into the general ledger.
Requirements
- Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.
- Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information for monthly and year end close.
- Work with clients to answer any questions regarding invoicing or billing rates.
- Resolve billing discrepancies with direct contact with clients.
- Review client billing for accuracy.
- Exercises discretion and independent judgment in the course and scope of monitoring and analyzing department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Advise staff regarding the handling of non-routine reporting transactions.
- Respond to inquiries from the SVP of Finance, Controller, and other operational managers regarding financial results.
- Provide training to new and existing staff as needed.
- Handle personnel issues relating to staff conflicts, absenteeism, performance issues, etc.
- Work with each direct report to establish goals and objectives for each year and monitor and advise on the progress to enhance the professional development of staff.
- Support SVP of Finance and Controller with special projects.
