Requirements

• Evaluates and treats patients with breathing disorders
• Performs medically prescribed respiratory care procedures
• Assesses patient's condition and communicates with physician and nurse
• Documents all procedures and patient education
• Maintains and cleans/sterilizes equipment and work area
• Communicates with patients and family concerning respiratory care procedures and equipment maintenance
• Provides an environment conducive to safety for patients, visitors, and staff
