Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Cleveland-Cliffs is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join their New Carlisle Works facility in Indiana. The ideal candidate will have a broad grasp of electrical engineering techniques and principles, with experience in troubleshooting and programming logic systems. The role involves developing solutions and implementing projects to improve process efficiency, collaborating with various teams, and working in a union environment.

Requirements

• Develop solutions and implement projects that improve the process and focus on providing electrical and programming logic expertise.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot programming, electrical and process issues.
• Develop and maintain equipment drive and motor strategies to reduce production downtime.
• Collaborate with various teams to install new and rebuilt production electrical systems.
• Analyze and modify blueprints, schematics, and drawings of electrical systems.
• Lead and/or monitor the electrical work of outside contractors for electrical system upgrades and expansions.
• Complete project responsibilities for design, specification, review and development of electrical equipment or systems.
• Able to respond to emergency situations during and after hours for the purpose of resolving immediate production and safety concerns.
