Initiative Director, U.S. Electricity

Climate Imperative Foundation (CI) is seeking a skilled Initiative Director, U.S. Electricity to develop grantmaking strategies and portfolios that advance decarbonizing the electricity sector. This role requires working with diverse partners to drive coordinated approaches to decarbonize the U.S. Electricity sector, aligning strategy with the organization’s values. They aim to help bring all regions of the United States into a climate-neutral economy.

Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant experience in a climate, energy, and/or policy focused role
• Knowledge of or experience in grantmaking
• Strong experience in the U.S. electricity sector
• Familiarity with the climate and clean energy field landscape, as well as advocacy strategies, tactics, and key leverage points to advance policy
• Strong research, analysis, and synthesis skillset
• Effective and flexible interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills
• Detail-orientation with strong organizational and project management skills
• Ability to travel up to 15%
