Analyst, Health Financing

The Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) is seeking an analyst to join its technical support unit in Burkina Faso. The analyst will support the Ministry of Health in improving the efficiency and sustainability of health financing. The role requires strong quantitative skills, economic analysis, and health policy knowledge.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in health economics, economics, statistics, public health, engineering, international development, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience (data analysis, consulting, health financing, economic modelling, or health programs).
• Experience in Sub-Saharan Africa or with a Ministry of Health is a major asset.
• Excellent analytical skills: modelling, costing, efficiency analysis.
• Strong command of Excel.
• Data visualization skills.
• Ability to produce clear, structured, and data-driven technical notes.
• Interest and understanding of health policy, health financing, and health economics.
• Ability to work in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders and evolving needs.
• Strong autonomy, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills (French required, professional English required).
• Ability to work with rigor, integrity, and humility in a government setting.
