Job Description
CME Associates, Inc. is seeking a Licensed Civil Engineer (PE) to serve as the project engineer in charge of their contracted special inspections and structural tests. This role involves overseeing the program setup, performing inspections, ensuring compliance with codes, and serving as a liaison with regulatory bodies. The ideal candidate will be proficient in building codes and have strong communication skills.
Requirements
- Initial set-up and management of the Project Special Inspections Program
- Technical review of test/inspection reports
- On-site inspections and report results
- Certification of the Inspection/Testing Program
- As a liaison with Registered Design Professionals and Code Enforcement Officials
- Act as Owner's Agent in execution of the Special Inspections Program
- Manage non-conformance list, prepare project test & inspection plans
- Assist in the prevention of construction material failures and workmanship problems
