Job Description
ZignaAI is seeking a Staff Data Engineer to drive the technical vision of their Data Platform team as they scale their infrastructure and architecture. This role involves leading platform-wide design decisions, ensuring scalability and reliability, and guiding squads through complex engineering challenges. The ideal candidate will be both technical and strategic, and will mentor other engineers across teams.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in data engineering
- Proven expertise in designing and operating large-scale data infrastructure
- Fluency in modern data architecture patterns, including medallion/lakehouse models
- Deep understanding of data access and governance, observability, CI/CD, version control, and incident management principles in a data engineering context
- Exceptional ability to communicate technical strategy to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Track record of mentorship and technical leadership across engineering teams
