Job Description
The Director of Engineering will lead and mentor the OS Business Unit Engineering teams, oversee Technical Sales Specialist teams, and coordinate global business unit engineering development activities. The role requires a minimum of 15 years of experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment, with significant leadership roles.
Requirements
- Lead and mentor the OS Business Unit Engineering teams
- Oversee the Technical Sales Specialist teams
- Coordinate global business unit engineering development activities
- Regularly report on development project progress and shortfalls
- Spearhead the development and execution of the development engineering portion of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Five-Year Plan (5YP)
- Ensure the timely and accurate management of developmental engineering documentation and data control
- Lead the business unit IP, trade secret, and patent programs
- Implement and maintain Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) protocols
- Ensure the protection of export-controlled information and compliance with industry export regulations
- Serve as the primary point of contact for site-level compliance and engineering strategy
- Develop developmental engineering skillsets
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external customers to align business and technical objectives
- Ensure effective technical support for sales, customers, and production operations
- Maintain compliance to ISO standards
