Senior Software Engineer, Backend (Consumer - Growth)

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Backend (Consumer - Growth) to join our team at Coinbase. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and running experiments to power the growth of Coinbase's retail products, designing scalable systems to solve novel problems with modern cloud technology and industry best practices, and articulating a long-term vision for maintaining and scaling our backend systems and the teams running them.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in software engineering
• Experience designing, building, scaling and maintaining production services, and knowledge of service-oriented architecture
• Passion for building an open financial system that brings the world together
• High quality, well tested code writing skills to meet the needs of customers
• Ability to work with engineers, designers, product managers and senior leadership to turn product and technical vision into a tangible roadmap every quarter
• Experience with growth experiments or A/B testing frameworks, Blockchain technology, Golang, Ruby, Docker, Rails, Postgres, MongoDB or DynamoDB, fintech, highly reliable and/or secure systems, crypto-forward experience
• Ability to launch new products from 0 to 1
