Senior Software Engineer, Backend (Institutional - Prime Onchain Wallet)

Coinbase is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Institutional Product Group and work on the Prime Onchain Wallet team. The role involves designing and delivering high-impact initiatives, defining and executing the team's technical roadmap, and solving complex technical challenges.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in backend development
• Expertise in Golang, GraphQL, REST APIs, Kubernetes, AWS, and blockchain protocols (e.g., EVM, Solana, UTXO)
• High-quality, well-tested, and maintainable code
• Experience leading complex technical projects end-to-end, mentoring engineers, and driving technical excellence within a team
• Hands-on experience with blockchain network integrations, cryptographic systems (e.g., MPC), and secure key management
• Experience working cross-functionally with product, security, and infrastructure teams
