The Quantum Sensing and Subatomic Physics Groups at the Colorado School of Mines are recruiting a post-doctoral researcher to take a leading role in our broad program through precision measurements of rare isotope decay in advanced sensors.
Requirements
- Technical development of superconducting and/or optomechanical quantum devices for BSM physics searches using rare isotopes
- Low-background detection and cryogenic environment development for superconducting devices in the Colorado Underground Research Institute (CURIE)
- Develop and lead new physics research directions within the scope of the BeEST and SALER experiments for neutrino physics and fundamental symmetries
- Organize and lead the local research efforts in Colorado including mentoring a large team of student and staff researchers
- Interact with university, industry, and laboratory collaboration partners on various aspects of the technical and scientific components of the experiments, including travel and extended work on-location.
