Requirements
- Determine and check load weights against the crane's lifting capacity to prevent overloading
- Use controls to safely lift, move, and place heavy materials
- Conduct pre-operational inspections and determine ground stability at the worksite
- Keep cranes clean, lubricate mechanisms, and perform minor repairs as needed
- Communicate with ground crew, construction managers, and other workers via hand signals or verbal instructions
- Perform supervisory duties including performance appraisals, employee counseling, and pay increase recommendations
- Maintain records of equipment, maintenance schedules, repairs, parts and inventory
- Responsible for performance and disciplinary management as needed
