Senior Engineer, Cable Design

We are seeking a talented and driven R&D Engineer to join our Copper Cable Engineering team. The team is based in Claremont North Carolina, but this position will be based in Suzhou, China. This role will support new product development and sustaining engineering activities for our Suzhou manufacturing facility and contract manufacturers across the APAC region.

Requirements

• Lead and support multiple R&D and sustaining projects focused on cost optimization, product enhancements, and new product introductions (NPIs) across APAC.
• Apply design-for-manufacturing principles to develop and improve cable products through experimentation, testing, and analysis.
• Identify and resolve product performance issues through root cause analysis and engineering solutions.
• Conduct data analysis, document technical findings, and maintain accurate records of design iterations and test results.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with production, quality, process engineering, materials planning, and procurement teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Develop and manage project budgets and timelines, ensuring deliverables are met on schedule.
• Create and execute test plans for both existing and new cable products.
