Job Description
The Family Nurse Practitioner reports to the Director of Family Medicine and provides quality, comprehensive out-patient primary health care services to patients of all ages.
Requirements
- Examines, diagnoses, treats and/or refers patients assigned to physician’s panel
- Maintains a problem-oriented health record for each patient
- Assures continuity of care by providing medical services on a timely basis
- Refers patients for specialty care services and lab/x-ray reports
- Maintains appropriate productivity standards and patient flow
- Provides excellent internal/external customer service
- Trains and mentors medical students and clinical support staff
- Follows established departmental and clinic policies and objectives
- Participates in health promotion, education and/or prevention programs
