Performs a variety of X-ray procedures for diagnostic purposes, including mammography, and is responsible for developing X-ray films, scheduling patients, and maintaining equipment. Must have a high degree of accuracy in positioning and exposure technique.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited American Medical Association School of Radiology
- A minimum of 1 year experience in a clinical setting
- Demonstrated experience properly taking x-rays and ensuring patient safety during the procedure
- Demonstrated experience at processing films
- Current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or other recognized association
- Hold current certification with ARRT in Mammography or MQSA qualified to take ARRT advanced level exam in mammography with documentation of clinical experience
- Must possess non-restricted licensure in the State of Texas
- Current Medical Radiologic Technologist Certificate from the Texas Department of Health
