Administrative Support Specialist-Legal

Assist organization in the formulation of legal procedures, conduct research, and assist attorneys in preparing for hearings and conflict resolutions.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in any field
• 1 year of previous experience in supporting attorneys in a non-profit or government agency
• 1 year of experience in conducting client interviews, maintaining general contact with the client and working under the supervision of an attorney
• 1 year of experience in advising and instructing others concerning administrative matters such as directives, reports, correspondence, etc.
• Knowledge of DCMR Title 31 Regulations, and/or the for-hire industry regulations of a major jurisdictional area such as DC, NY, MA
• Excellent analytical skills to conduct research, resolve problems, and make recommendations and presentations
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn new software packages.
