Job Description
The Senior Food Scientist - Meat Snacks role involves developing new meat snack products from concept to commercialization, working on product cuttings, plant trials, and supporting new product startups and testing. The role requires a food-forward and culinary-focused mindset, with expertise in ingredient functionality and cost optimization projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Meat Science, Animal Science, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in meat product development
- Expertise in ingredient functionality and cost optimization projects
- Curiosity for consumer demand and innovation within the CPG and culinary space
- Knowledge in food product design, formulation, process design, product scale-up, plant testing, and commercialization
- Comfortable working in manufacturing environments with varying conditions (noise, heat, cold, wet surfaces and exposure to all food allergens)
