Cuisinart is seeking a Food Scientist with a strong culinary background to develop and improve new and existing products. The role involves laboratory work, research, cooking, and office duties, including developing recipes, analyzing data, food safety, quality control, and creating KPIs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field
- Analytical skills: Strong problem-solving, data analysis, and mathematical skills
- Scientific knowledge: A solid foundation in the chemistry and biology of food, Maillard effect, product development, optimal appliance temperatures for cooking, freezing and extraction
- Attention to detail: Meticulousness is required for laboratory work, recipe development and data analysis
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Technical proficiency: Expertise in laboratory techniques and relevant computer software
- Creativity and innovation: Ability to think creatively to develop new and innovative products
