We are seeking a Business Manager (Assistant Community Manager) to support the day-to-day operations of our affordable apartment community at El Quintero Apartments in Calexico, CA. This role will involve both on-site accounting and leasing responsibilities, with the Business Manager also acting as the person-in-charge when the Community Manager is absent.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience in affordable apartment communities
- 1-2 years of supervisory experience preferred
- Experience with affordable properties, HUD, Low Income Tax Credit (LIHTC), Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH), Section 8, Senior, Rural Development is required
- Strong understanding of the day-to-day operations of a multi-family apartment community, including leasing, financial reporting, and resident services
- Ability to maintain high occupancy rates in apartment communities
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact with residents, vendors, and team members professionally
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook; experience with Yardi and/or MRI is a plus
