Job Description
The Senior Cook is responsible for preparing meals and snacks for residents at the Convalescent Center, following established policies and procedures. This is a non-exempt position that requires at least one year of long-term care cooking experience and a valid Washington State driver's license. Tribal member and Indian preference will apply, with preference also given to honorably discharged veterans who are minimally qualified.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least one year of Long Term Care cooking experience preferred
- Knowledge of safe and proper food handling, storage, and disposal practices
- Ability to read, write, and understand the English language
- Possess or have the ability to obtain a Food Handlers card within 5 days of employment
- Ability to function independently and work a flexible schedule
