The CT State Community College is seeking part-time lecturers in the School of Social & Behavioral Science to teach credit courses. The positions are on continuous recruitment and filled on an as-needed basis. Classes may be taught on ground and/or online.
Requirements
- Master's degree or equivalent in subject matter.
- Proven ability to effectively work with culturally, linguistically, and ethnically diverse faculty, staff, and students.
- Experience with reflective, interactive, culturally responsive pedagogical teaching techniques.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills along with strong Information technology literacy skills such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams etc.)
- One (1) or more years’ teaching-related college-level courses (24+ credits).
- Familiarity with the community college experience as a student, or staff.
- Experience incorporating technology to enhance the learning environment, e.g., Blackboard, online instruction or other modalities/software.
Benefits
- Salary: $2,112 per contact/credit hour ($6,336 for a 3-credit course)
- Opportunity to teach a total of up to 8 credits per semester within the CC system
