High School English Language Arts Teacher - Alabama Connections Academy

Alabama Connections Academy is a tuition-free, online public school serving students in grades K–12 across Alabama. We are seeking a High School English Language Arts Teacher to virtually manage instructional programs and work with students, parents, and teachers to ensure successful completion of the instructional program.

Requirements

• Reside within the state of Alabama
• Be appropriately certified to teach English Language Arts for High School in Alabama
• Have strong technology skills (especially with Microsoft OS and MS Office programs)
• Have excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Have a customer focused approach
• Have a high degree of flexibility
• Have demonstrated ability to work well in a fast paced environment
• Be a team player with a track record of teamwork
• Be willing to travel on occasion for school-based meetings, trainings, marketing and state testing events (may require occasional overnight travel)
• Be able to work remotely, if necessary
• Be able to work some occasional evening hours, as needed to support some families
