High School Social Studies Teacher - Arkansas Connections Academy

Arkansas Connections Academy is a tuition-free, virtual public charter school serving students in grades K-12 statewide. As a High School Social Studies Teacher, you will work with certified teachers to virtually manage instructional programs and ensure student success. You will be responsible for grading, creating progress reports, and conducting parent conferences, as well as supporting the instructional program with web conferencing sessions and synchronous instruction.

Requirements

• Reside within the state of Arkansas or live 300 miles from Bentonville, AR
• Highly qualified and certified to teach Secondary Social Studies in Arkansas
• Strong technology skills (especially with Microsoft OS, MS Office programs, and Google Suite)
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Customer focused approach
• High degree of flexibility
• Demonstrated ability to work well in fast paced environment
• Team player track record
• Willingness to travel on occasion for marketing and state testing events
• Ability to work remotely
• Ability to work some occasional evening hours, as needed to support some families
