Conquest Solutions, LLC (CQS) is a leading application and engineering consulting firm in the Washington, D.C. metro area specializing in Building Automation Systems (BAS), Design-build and General Construction. The company is seeking a Senior Building Automation System (BAS) Specialist to support the engineering and installation teams within the BAS department.
Requirements
- Provide onsite/offsite support for the BAS programming, installation, commissioning, troubleshooting and checkout.
- Perform inspections, preventative and routine maintenance, and performance testing and verification of CQS installed BAS systems.
- Identify, isolate, and provide solutions for BAS system, software, infrastructure, component, and communication errors and issues.
- Repair, retrofit, modify, or remove components, in part or in whole, of the DDC systems including but is not limited to, hardware, software, HVAC, and low voltage (Mostly Class 2) electrical components, and wiring that is controlled or supported by the Direct Digital Control (DDC) systems.
- Perform calibration of electronic, electric, and pneumatic controllers, transistors, dampers, space temperature sensors, mixing boxes, end devices, and related components.
- Read, write, and update logic and code to support or enhance the logic developed or created by others, where required.
- May be required to visit job site to effectively gather information on existing system configuration or facility configurations and troubleshoot reported system anomalies.
- Verify and confirm sequences of operation for various systems through a BAS evaluation process.
- Assist and support in the accurate development of BAS engineering drawings, graphics, sequences of operations and specifications as required for new and existing BAS projects.
- Provide training to other assigned BAS field installation/technician and commissioning team members.
- Identify and investigate repeat issues, processes, and tasks and establish systems and solutions that ensure efficiency within the BAS commissioning and technician execution.
- Produce clear, concise, and comprehensive written/electronic reports detailing the status, work performed, deficiencies noted, and corrective actions taken to resolve issues.
- Lead quality assurance and commissioning efforts for a variety of DDC system components and sequences.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders (customers, supervisors, programmers, field personnel, other contractors) to achieve alignment on objectives, priorities, schedules, risks, features, etc. and ensuring they are well documented
- Perform routine tasks between the hours of 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. EST. Monday through Friday, except federal holidays
- Foster and maintain good working relationships with CQS employees, clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Ensure CQS business is conducted with the highest ethical standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
