Information System Security Engineer - Mid / Senior Level - CLEARANCE and POLYGRAPH REQUIRED

Constellation Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Information System Security Engineer with a Mid/Senior level of experience. This on-site position, located in Fort Meade or Annapolis Junction, MD, requires a US Citizen with an active TS/SCI security clearance and polygraph. The role involves applying the Risk Management Framework, vulnerability testing, and ensuring secure configurations of systems, while utilizing tools like Nessus, NMAP, and Wireshark. Candidates will work independently and within a team in a fast-moving environment.

Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must have TS/SCI clearance w/ active polygraph (Polygraph must be within the last five (05) years).
• At least fourteen (14) years of direct/relevant experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security, System Engineering or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
• Certified Information System Security Professional Certification (CISSP) or Security X (previously known as the CASP+) Certification required
• Solid understanding of security practices and policies
• Hands-on vulnerability testing experience using Customer tools
• Experience applying Risk Management Framework
• Experience formulating and assessing IT security policy
• Knowledge of common security tools, such as Nessus, NMAP and Wireshark
• Experience with secure configurations of commonly used desktop and server operating systems
• Strong verbal and written communications skills
• Committed to adopting and adhering to best practices
• Capable of performing high quality work both independently and with a team
