Job Description
CGS is seeking a Senior Database Administrator to support Microsoft SQL Server administration. This role involves administering and migrating databases, providing system administration support, and implementing solutions for performance monitoring and tuning. The company emphasizes collaboration, professional growth, and solving complex problems.
Requirements
- Administering Microsoft SQL Server including Replication, Backup/Restore procedures, Capacity Planning, Reporting Services, Analysis Services, and Integration Services.
- Migrating databases from SQL Server 2012 to SQL Server 2016.
- Providing all aspects of basic systems administration support including planning, execution, testing, installations, and configurations of new hardware and software.
- Recommending/implementing solutions for SQL performance monitoring and tuning.
- Recommending/implementing solutions for SQL performance monitoring and tuning.
- Supporting visualization technologies such as VMware and Microsoft Hyper-V, creating and configuring virtual machines.
- Performing back ups of the web, application, and database servers according to MPA policies and procedures.
