Job Description
As a Category Buyer for Environmental Services & Waste at Continental, you will be responsible for driving all regional purchasing activities related to waste and environmental services. You will work with the Global Category Head and Regional Cluster Manager to negotiate with vendors, identify synergy potential, and ensure compliance with valid rules. The role requires a university degree and extensive experience in procurement, preferably in technical purchasing, with strong analytic and conceptual competence, exceptional communication skills, and fluent German and English language skills.
Requirements
- University Degree (Diploma/Bachelor/Masters)
- At least 3 years of professional experience in procurement
- Technical purchasing experience (NPM area) with verifiable success
- Strong analytic and conceptual competence
- Exceptional communicator capable of communicating effectively within a multi-cultural and across functions as well as all levels
- Confident handling of SAP R/3 + S/4 and MS Office
- Independent and responsible way of working as well as a quick comprehension
- Advanced negotiating skills, assertiveness, goal- and result-oriented work
- Fluent in German & English (writing and speaking)
- Experience in project management
