Job Description
The Laboratory Technician is responsible for performing basic chemical and/or microbial analysis for one of the assigned QC laboratories, documenting results, and maintaining laboratory supplies, chemicals, and logbooks in accordance with SOPs.
Requirements
- Follow all laboratory SOPs
- Log in and track all samples received in the lab
- Perform laboratory physical chemistry testing
- Perform sampling, plating, and testing of product assigned for microbiology analysis
- Maintain proper labeling of chemical reagents
- Maintain a clean and organized laboratory working environment
- Assist in laboratory investigations
- Dispose of used/expired/excess chemicals
- Report well-written, accurate and timely results
- Review data, calculations, notebooks, and reports
- Perform routine Metrology functions
- Monitor and assist with maintaining proper inventory levels of all laboratory supplies
- Assist with sample receiving, chemical inventory, document filing, housekeeping, etc.
