Job Description
Cooper University Health Care is seeking a certified Medical Assistant to provide clinical support within their healthcare delivery system. The role involves patient intake, examination, and documentation, assisting the provider with minor surgical procedures, and communication with patients and staff. Requirements
- Responsible for setting up the patient in the exam room
- Perform and Document: Vital signs (manual BPs), EKGs, Reconciliation of medications
- Interview/Discuss with patient changes in patient’s health since the last visit
- Assist the provider with minor surgical procedures
- Prepare appropriate medications for injections
- Knowledge of medical insurance terminology, computer skills for scheduling, and familiarity with general office procedures and equipment
