The Field Testing Specialist will plan and execute the safe and efficient day-to-day management of corn, soybean, sorghum, and wheat product development at the Garden City Research Center. The role involves operating and troubleshooting agricultural research equipment, using technology to conduct field research experiments, and collaborating with the team to plan and organize weekly workflow efficiently.
Requirements
- Associate degree or bachelor's degree in agriculture or a scientific field
- 2-4 years of experience in Agronomy, Plant Breeding, or a related field
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well with diverse groups of people
- Self-motivated and able to initiate projects, improvements, decisions, and problem-solving
- Detail-oriented, strong time management and organizational skills
- Commitment to excellent safety and risk management practices
- Competency with standard Microsoft Office programs and capacity to learn new technologies and software
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
