Job Description
CorVel Corporation is hiring a Medical Case Manager II to work from home and on the road, making a meaningful difference in the lives of injured workers and their families. The role involves working closely with injured workers, medical providers, and others to facilitate recovery and require regular local travel up to 60% of the work week/month.
Requirements
- Provides in-person and telephonic Medical Case Management to individuals
- Utilizes medical and nursing knowledge to discuss treatment plans with physicians
- Evaluates patient's treatment plan for appropriateness, medical necessity, and cost effectiveness
- Conducts home visits for initial evaluation
- Implements care such as negotiating durable medical equipment and nursing services
