The Room Attendant is responsible for cleaning and maintaining guestrooms and public areas to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation. This role ensures guest comfort and satisfaction by providing a clean, safe, and welcoming environment while safeguarding confidentiality and security.
Requirements
- Clean and disinfect assigned guestrooms, including bathrooms.
- Dust furniture, vacuum carpets, draperies, and upholstered furniture.
- Make beds, change sheets, sweep, mop, and wash floors.
- Pick up debris, empty trash containers, and spot clean walls, doors, and surfaces as required.
- Restock towels, linens, and room supplies, ensuring correct quantities and placement.
- Replace facial tissues, toilet tissue, and bathroom amenities.
- Clean public spaces as needed.
- Use appropriate cleaning chemicals and follow OSHA, safety, and company sanitation standards.
- Maintain knowledge of proper maintenance and use of cleaning equipment.
- Keep housekeeping carts and linen rooms clean, safe, and organized.
- Report maintenance issues promptly to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Safeguard keys and follow all security procedures.
- Turn in lost and found items to the Housekeeping Office for logging.
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
- Handle soiled linen safely and use PPE as required.
- Report accidents, injuries, or unsafe working conditions immediately.
- Ensure professional appearance and proper uniform standards are met.
- Understand emergency procedures for the housekeeping department and hotel.
- May be required to work evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed.
- Perform additional duties or adjustments as directed based on business needs.
