CNA

Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide direct patient care to patients undergoing kidney dialysis. The role involves performing a variety of tasks to assist registered nurses in patient care, including medication administration, ADL support, and maintaining a safe environment. This position is 72 hours a pay period with a rotating shift schedule.

Requirements

• Take and record temperature, pulse, respiration rates, blood pressures, weights, heights, and intake-output measurements.
• Encourage patients to turn, cough, and take deep breaths and to use incentive spirometry.
• Perform ambulation, assist with getting and getting out of bed, into wheelchairs, and transporting patients.
• Provide nutritional care, including meal tray distribution.
• Assist with maintaining a safe environment and reporting equipment.
• Perform PHLE, EKG, and record patient information.
• Follow infection control policies and maintain a clean environment.
• Maintain accurate patient record keeping.
